Massachusetts Dance Festival's Inaugural Event

Massachusetts Dance Festival presents its inaugural concert on Friday November 6th and Saturday, November 7th at 8:00 p.m., in the Boston University Dance Theatre, 914 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, MA. The program highlights many of the top professional dance companies of Massachusetts:

BoSoma Dance Company

Chaos Theory Dance

Collage Dance Ensemble

Flamenco Dance Project

Hilberman & Goldberg

Rainbow Tribe

Snake Dance Theater

Sokolow Now!”

Triveni Dance Company

Innovative choreographies, such as “Between Lines,” which “reflects on the unseen truths of an individual's character,” choreographed by Katherine Hooper (BoSoma), and dramatic selections by Sokolov Now!, combine strength,
physicality, and technical
excellence, while “Snake Dance Theater” intertwines spicy Latin/Arabian ‘fusion’ movements, brandishing swords, veils, and exotic costumes. Billbob Brown, director of “Chaos Theory Dance,” combines movement, voice, video and stunning lifts, in thematic choreography based on quantum physics and astronomy. “Collage” founder and artistic director, Ahmet Luleci, harmonizes the group’s diversity through his “series of pieces that are based on bringing different cultures together,” further exemplifying the rich array of compelling artistry to be experienced during this extraordinary blending of talents.

Tickets are $25.00 and can be purchased in advance or at the door. Discounts are available for Boston Dance Alliance Members, students, senior citizens, and groups of 10 or more.
